Our Story
My name is Ashleigh, the owner of The Biscuit Studio, which started in 2015 out of a love of baking and creativity. While studying at Christina Martin School of Food & Wine in Durban many years ago, I fell in love with icing cakes and decorating. I dusted off my icing tools to make some decorated biscuits for my daughter’s birthday in 2012, and the bug bit me all over again. The Biscuit Studio has grown from biscuit orders, to teaching classes, to an online shop.
Our Shop
The online shop has a wonderful range of biscuit specific products, we try to keep up with the trends around the world, so these products are available to South Africa. Our stencils are thoughtfully designed and created by myself. Our shop also stocks various other products that are essential to creating beautiful iced biscuits.
Our Team
Wendy – Keeps the office running efficiently, with her bright happy personality. She oversees the online orders, manages stock, queries and so much more.
Carol – Has been with us since September 2008, when my son was only 4 months old. She has moved on from helping in the house to now working full time in The Biscuit Studio. Carol bakes the perfect biscuit, she packs and prepares the classes, packs orders and so much more, she’s one of my favorite human beings and we are truly blessed to have her.
We’re just a happy, passionate, growing little business that’s here to help and share our knowledge of icing biscuits.
