Airbrushing tips : Making a jean pocket cookie
With Father’s Day just around the corner, I thought I would share this jean pocket cookie idea with you. These cookies are also suitable for any other celebration, girls night out, cowboy theme and more. In this tutorial we go over using a silkscreen, mixing airbrush colours to make a darker blue and basic airbrushing tips. Only use airbrush colours that have been specifically designed for an airbrush gun.
Airbrushing takes your biscuits / cookies to the next level, with shading, dimension or adding cool backgrounds. Here are a few key tips to keep in mind when airbrushing.
1) Do not under flood your biscuits, this results in an uneven surface.
2) Pulling too hard on the trigger. It is such a slight pull, about 1-2mm. Try it, you’ll see the difference.
3) Airbrushing too far away from the biscuit / icing.
4) Follow the design on the stencil
5) Rushing…slow down.
